Job Scope:

• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and nurturing environment for children by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning and care routines aligned with the centre’s philosophy for children aged 18 months to 6 years.
• Observe, document, and assess children’s learning and development, keeping families informed and involved in the planning process.
• Reflect, evaluate, and refine teaching and caregiving approaches to meet each child’s individual needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
• Create responsive and respectful learning environments that cater to children’s interests, abilities, and temperaments.
• Build strong partnerships with families by sharing relevant information and resources to support continuity between home and centre.
• Engage with community partners to enhance services for children and families.
• Contribute to the centre’s quality assurance efforts, including SPARK accreditation and licensing compliance.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education or an equivalent qualification recognized by ECDA.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience working with young children.
• Sound knowledge of current early childhood development theories, research, and best practices.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable about ECDA’s policies, regulations, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Provide support for Jamiyah Singapore and Jamiyah Child Development Centres events.
