Your role
This is a sales role that requires dedication and focus. You'll be outbound sales focus and making a variety of calls. Through good call structure, quickly building professional rapport to identify needs, you'll generate selling opportunities and then convert these into long term clients. This activity will deliver agreed revenue targets that will drive high levels of open-ended commission earnings.
What you'll be doing

Corpay is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join a thriving corporate sales team in our Singapore office and focus on generating new business in the B2B payments segment.

This is a unique opportunity to join the world's largest non-bank provider of cross-border payments and foreign exchange risk management solutions. At Corpay, we combine the resources and scale of a global bank with the innovative spirit and agility of a FinTech enterprise.

In this position, you will play a critical role in expanding our market presence, driving sales growth, and establishing strategic partnerships. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You'll strategically target new clients by following up on internal leads, leveraging your network, and proactively reaching out to new businesses. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship in a supportive, close-knit environment, with ongoing career advancement opportunities within Singapore and Corpay's global network.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly targets by prospecting, qualifying, progressing and closing corporate accounts with cross-border payment needs.
• Attend face-to-face appointments with prospects to conduct needs analysis and discovery
• Leverage your industry network to open new opportunities for Corpay by identifying potential referral opportunities, providing industry insight, building market awareness of Corpay, and representing us in the industry
• Present Corpay's payment and FX risk management solutions to corporates in Singapore and successfully convert prospects into clients
• Stay up to date with financial markets and economic developments.
• Follow up prospects through periodic calls, timely market updates, and marketing materials.

Requirements

• 5 years of B2B Sales Experience (international payments or banking experience an advantage)
• Ability to self-generate and convert a pipeline of corporate prospects into customers.
• Comfort undertaking regular cold calling sessions to Corporate Accounts
• Confidence to engage with Directors and C-Level Executives of large corporations
• Knowledge of the financial markets will be a plus, along with payment process understanding (training will be given)
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong sense of professionalism, tenacity, resilience, and a positive outlook.
• Experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.com, is preferred
• Ability to work independently from field, home or in the Singapore office
