The recruiter was quick and thorough, but the hiring manager was slow to respond and didn’t respect the recruiter or me as a candidate by responding with timely responses about next steps because steps took weeks rather than days to take place, even the recruiter complained about the hiring manager’s lethargic response time. If you research the background of a lot of the managers, you can see they live in the same towns and went to college with each other, so it’s clear the dorky leadership lacks the emotional intelligence to establish a meritocracy and a lot of people just coast and work at their own pace while taking care of their cronies. As my wife said, why would you want to work for somebody who takes forever to communicate with you? There’s something rotten in Denmark, or Sweden and San Mateo.
