Pros

If you enjoy traveling and the world.... in my 12 years, I think I must have travelled over 30 plus countries. Good place to start your career (in the past)... now, not so much. Especially new analysts are asked to do mindless things such as preparing schedule excel and doing useless PMO work. REALLY DEPEND ON YOUR LUCK

Cons

Been in the firm for more than 12 years - from fresh analyst all the way to AD level. I have seen how the firm has regressed over the last 5 years especially with the departure of the old guards and the import of all the foreign talents from Europe. These SM and MD just typically stay for a couple of years before returning back. So there is really no people development.... its all about promoting their own people or to import more. - factionalism is so prevalent in the OG. U need to know which camp u are in - The firm reeks of favoritism. Your promotion depends on your faction and who you know. You can do so badly in a project but because you come from a particular country and the MD is your mentor - you can easily get away and get your promotion. - your typical bonus is less than 1 month. Yes LESS THAN 1 month for average performer.... now even if you are the top performer , you are just looking at 2.5 months. we are talking about 7 days a week - just working day and night... - the firm no longer cares about doing the right thing for the client. Its more about how to do the minimum and get the hella out of the engagement. To Accenture, the completion of an engagement provides them with an opportunity to create credentials and sell more work to new customers who buy into their bluff. - we hired so many new fresh smart graduates by selling them the idea that they will be working on the "new IT"... all the big buzz words such as machine learning, AI, cognitive learning.... but the truth is....we don't even have any of these projects, apart from some simple POC. These analysts are actually doing meaningless excel or ppt...which adds zero value to their career. - Accenture talks a lot on core values but no longer practise it at all. Its no longer about client value or people developer... Its now all about numbers.... just close any deals, bluff your way through and throw the project to the delivery team. As for the people, doesn't matter what they are doing or learning...as long as they are chargeable. Its truly sad to see how Accenture has degraded to this stage.

Pros

Quite a decent pay and benefits.

Cons

Extremely toxic environment, unprofessional and self-centered colleagues. Office politics has been a norm here and it has been emphasised more than the actual work itself. Long working hours without respecting employee personal space and time. Based on my observation, the only people that are staying for long are usually those whose first job is also with Accenture and never have a chance to experience work culture in other companies before.

Pros

-many things to learn -transport allowance -lifestyle allowance more flexible than flexi points

Cons

-No 13 month -although you have many things to learn, ALL THE TIME, you are force to learn these skills on your own. NO DEDICATED training of whatsoever. Mangers will upsell you to the clients (say you are a pro even though you just pick it up last week etc.) -Analyst are like dust, if you are not up for the job, they can replace you anytime -All managers care about are sales (and most of them cant code but expect you to know how to, else you are useless [in tech]) -No preference of the projects you want to be staff in (ie. they throw you where they need ppl and expect you to pick up whatever knowledge that is required) -needless to say, looonnngggg working hours -All in all no company culture. you are there just to be useful.
