Pros

- Competitive salary and compensation. - Full remote work and geographic flexibility.

Cons

- Emotionally unstable and reactive management; decisions are often political rather than performance-based. - Toxic internal culture driven by ego, competition, and hypocrisy rather than collaboration. - Advancement is based on pleasing leadership rather than merit — excessive internal politics. - Attempts to classify employees as contractors, creating disguised employment with no social protection or legal clarity. - Business model driven more by speculation than by product maturity; essential features like JOINs, standard SQL support, and horizontal scalability are lacking — all of which are critical for any serious data warehouse. This makes the product very difficult to sell, as it remains a niche technology that does not scale well. - Lack of transparency and honesty in internal processes and communication.

Pros

* The product is innovative and has a strong technical foundation. * Many individual contributors are talented and want to do good work. * Fully remote setup provides flexibility. * Excellent company offsite locations.

Cons

* No process discipline. Agreed-upon workflows are either ignored or outright resisted, making it impossible to build sustainable systems. * Constant last-minute changes to priorities and deliverables, often framed as “urgent” but rarely truly urgent, which causes unnecessary stress and wasted effort. * Team members regularly bypass formal channels for both large and small asks, which undermines efficiency and version control. * Ineffective review processes. Performance reviews lack metrics, standards, or measurable goals; instead they rely on anonymous quotes from colleagues who may not work closely with you. * Managers lack training in constructive communication and feedback. Team culture would benefit from structured frameworks (e.g., DISC) to improve collaboration and reduce unnecessary friction.

Pros

- Fast growing company with strong founders - Remote work - Since it is growing quickly, equity has potential to be worth a lot and it is hard to leave the company

Cons

- No WLB - Cut throat culture and tough communication styles - Constant weekend pings, late night pings - 0 recognition for work - No community, as we all work remote. You will feel alone in the world. - This company will take your confidence, stomp on it, crumple it up, and burn it. Be prepared to be humbled.
