Pros
- When you first begin, they do provide adequate time for onboarding and learning. - Staff meal is heavily discounted and there is plain bread and fruits provided for breakfast. - Staff discount is stackable with store discounts. - Healthy work life balance. (but this is role dependent. Some depts work non-stop.)
Cons
- Cold and micromanaging environment. Doesn’t matter who you report to, the ppl are constantly looking at you and eavesdropping. Everyone refuses to teach and documents are scattered or non-existent. - They are not doing well financially so retrenchment happens all the time (every month). Perm roles or contract roles are all at risk. Everyone is more preoccupied in making another look bad than doing their actual job. - Be prepared for those benefits like flexi reporting time and no dress code to be not true after you start the role. There IS a reporting time and that’s the time in which the mgmt team is in the office. 9am-6pm.
