Cons

1. The boss loves to nitpick the whole team almost every single day, even to the slightest mistake 2. The boss also loves to drag everyone's lunch times, sometimes as late as 2pm the team has not gone for lunch yet, and despite so, the boss simply doesn't care 3. The boss always has a habit of asking the team to discuss matters towards the end of the work day and by the time the discussion ended, it was already 7pm to 9pm, sometimes even till 10pm with NO dinner at all (this is ridiculous coming from HR dept itself) 4. The boss has no time management and sits on emails, and loves to forward emails to the team thinking the staff will know how to solve the problem 6. Boss promised to give the team time off on days when they work OT but ended up saying the staff earns more so there is no way they can take time off (seriously? then don't make empty promises in the first place) 7. Even though the boss says that there will be no micromanagement, but yet the boss will call every now and then to check in what the staff is doing and ask what is on their plate 8. The boss also kind of humilate the staff by saying words that hurt the staff and still try to be the "kind boss" 9. The team has been suffering because of irregular lunch breaks, knock off time

Pros

The team at Clementi polyclinic was generally more professional, and willing to guide new staff even though it’s way busier than other branch.

Cons

This 1-star review is specifically for my experience at the Tengah polyclinic, particularly with some of the lab staff. I've worked in different environments before and have never felt the need to leave a negative review. The environment felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. There were instances where comments were made behind my back, and super hostile interactions from the lab IC which created an uncomfortable working environment. I was often told that I could approach staff if I had questions, but when I sought clarification, I was frequently directed back to the SOP/WI rather than being given practical guidance and I found this frustrating and unhelpful. I also felt that feedback was sometimes given only after mistakes or issues arose, rather than during the learning process when guidance would have been most beneficial. This made it difficult to build confidence and perform tasks safely and effectively, not sure if they did it on purpose. Overall, I have only been to Clementi and Tengah but the culture and training standards appeared inconsistent across locations.

Pros

Meaningful work, learn something new. Annual leaves alot

Cons

Very toxic work culture, expect you to follow their culture or resign. Managers that are close to HOD are favourited, guaranteed future roles to choose from. Team members tend to follow leader of group, once don’t like you, you’re outcasted. Physical and verbal abuse also witnessed. Came in inexperienced but expect to step up within 2months.
