Fast-paced, high-expectations environment - Senior Manager Secretlab Employee Review

Pros

Solid opportunities to learn and grow, especially for people who are motivated and willing to put in the effort. There’s a strong emphasis on critical and creative thinking, and on being able to clearly explain your reasoning and thought process. Applying industry best practices without adaptation is usually not sufficient; you’re expected to think from first principles and challenge assumptions. Opportunities for ownership and growth exist, but you need to be proactive and intentional about seeking them out.

Cons

The pace is fast and expectations are high, so it’s not a place where you can coast. The environment moves quickly, and priorities can shift often. This requires a high level of agility and resilience, and comfort with ambiguity, which may not be a good fit for everyone.

Pros

you get appraisels and potential increments twice a year office is really nice, pantry and lunch provided every day generally people are easy to get along with and you don't have that much politics other than from certain leaders who seem to think they are better than others. no one else writing reviews dare to say this but quite proud to be a singaporean working for a successful singaporean company. last is that the company seems to be doing well.

Cons

really not for everyone because you have to push yourself and try to prove yourself every day. if you wanna get a fun and corporate job that you can just do enough and go home, i would advise to go somewhere else.

Pros

- good pantry and lunch provided

Cons

Honestly, a lot. It's definitely a big case of blind leading the blind. A lot of passing the blame around, no one really knowing what they were doing, the only thing the leads do well is blow smoke/wayang. I was specifically in content creation in marketing and the leads there had no idea what they were doing, but when this issue would surface, they would just push the blame elsewhere. There was one good lead who knew what he was doing technically and visually, but he was a terrible person manager. We would have 1-to-1s and I would voice issues, both personal and in our team, of which would get ignored all the time. He didn't know how to lead at all. The product is great, every lead there is just riding the wave of the quality, good job the product team is good at what they do. Very inefficient and not a warm workplace. The pawns work like crazy whilst the leads reap the benefits. Without a doubt, some of the worst leads I've ever worked under.
