Feedback - Manager The Tanglin Club Employee Review

Some members and staff (from other dept) are really nice, except purchasing colleague.

Both purchasing manager and snr purchasing executive are a nuisance (gossip & sing song in the office) distract staff from concentrating on their work. 3 staff is more than enough in purchasing dept (1 in-charge of food & 1 in-charge of non-food), until there wasn’t much work assigned to the intern, hence they joined in the gossiping as well.

Workplace is in town Nothing much worth mentioning

- Work environment is highly political. - Job scope is not related to what was described in the job ad and during interview. No professional growth. Knowledge learned isn’t generally transferable elsewhere. - No training is provided to get a new staff up to speed. Expect to be thrown into the deep-end from day one without any guidance. - Expect to receive whatsapp messages relating to work outside of working hours. - $7 would be deducted from allowance for each day of MC taken - Expect to stay back late after work occasionally because some meetings are held after office hours - The legal department can be a very stressful place to work in. The head of legal nit picks over the slightest detail, and likes to gossip. Think carefully about whether to state last drawn salary as they are likely to offer a very slight increase.
