Pros
- high bonus (>3 months) - good place to start at as a fresh grad as many things to learn. given many chances to do things that usually only more senior people in MNCs can do. - singapore is HQ so can learn about operations in HQ
Cons
- no health/dental insurance: only health benefits in the form of cash (originally 600, became 800 this year). cash is given out in july and dec. - very stingy: expected to share rooms/beds during overseas business trips, whichever is the cheapest option. not allowed to claim travel insurance, will get questioned by kuok khoon hong’s sister who oversees all claims. flights and hotels are restricted to the cheapest one possible. travel allowance is split into breakfast, lunch and dinner, and on flying days, not allowed to claim breakfast is flight is after 5-6am (depends on whether claims team is convinced about your need to claim breakfast). - very lean structure - need to work when on leave and on mc - unclear work instructions but will get scolded by management if you do work wrongly as per your interpretation of their unclear instructions - gaslighting from management: given extremely heavy workload but when it can’t be completed, management will say that you have time management problems. given customer accounts that are infamous in the department for being difficult buyers to deal with but management will say that you are the problem - bullying from managers that is condoned by higher management - a lot of taichi as no one wants to be responsible for anything due to higher management’s tendency to scold and shout and look down on people
