Pros

Benefits are not too bad

Cons

Poor management that promotes a lot of favouritism. Some of the so-called ‘leaders’ here are also quite fake and their actions really differ from what they say. The culture here is terrible. Only join here if you really like to boot lick your bosses and you are really adept at office politics/backstabbing your colleagues/leaders at any chance you can while pretending to be their friends. That’s why many of the good workers who actually know their stuff have left and the bootlickers who pretend that they know their stuff are still there.

Pros

Hands on and engaging working environment where you need to wear quite a few hats. You get to experience almost everything by the time you finish your first month in the role. Friendly co-workers and line managers that do make everything worth it - dependent on work location and the team, of course. Good benefits programme and leave policy.

Cons

Very high tempo and absolutely no lull periods - back to back major projects/campaigns, leading to a lack of time to fulfill the basics for the store. Leads to a lot of unreported but still necessary OT to meet the store's needs - work brought home to complete, poor work life balance. Very lean staffing that increases workload on the team. Poor incentive plan at year of joining. Higher management (store, and service office) not sensitive to what's actually happening on the ground, and not helpful in making things happen. Sometimes too many stakeholders trying to put their hand in the pot.

Vulgar and bad

Pros

none at all, maybe the cheap/free food

Cons

As a packer, I had to carry heavy load things. The full timers take the small easy to handle orders and they drive forklifts and use vehicles. While the part timers will pick shelves by hand and literally bend over to grab boxes weighing over 80kg. And they complain that we don't hit KPI
