Pros

Inflated title, you can call yourself the "head" of anything

Cons

Something is very wrong with the organisation. People are falling sick with long term illnesses and going on long medical leaves. Lay offs happening left and right. People are trying to quit because there is "no future in the company" One employee even passed away. People are struggling to cover each other and we are trying to sell services and products which we cant even fulfil. The employee survey was so bad that they just went straight to the focus group to try to fix the poor employee morale. Product Managers are extremely out of touch with the market and very lazy. People are backstabbing each other and insulting each other based on looks and appearances. The level of politics among the senior and middle management is astounding and so immature. The corporate culture is so toxic, they pride themselves as smarter than their simple minded customers and overcharging them is seen as an achievement.

Pros

Medical benefits are decent here

Cons

Concerns have arisen regarding the efficacy of the current general management practices, prompting observations that suggest a potential disconnect between leadership and operational realities. There's a perception that the General Manager's role has, in effect, become more of a symbolic figurehead than a driver of substantive strategic direction. This is not to suggest a lack of presence, but rather a perceived deficit in demonstrable, impactful leadership. Specifically, there are questions concerning the degree to which strategic decisions are being informed by on-the-ground realities. The team has observed a potential lack of decisive action, and an apparent inability to translate high level strategy into actionable steps. The feeling is that the current management style is not effectively addressing the challenges faced by the team, and that a more proactive and engaged approach is required to ensure optimal performance. This observation is not meant to be a personal attack, but rather a reflection of the team's shared experience, and a sincere desire to improve the overall effectiveness of the organization. My manager's career has advanced exceptionally quickly, with promotions to associate director and then director occurring within a matter of months. This pace of advancement is notable. The rapid progression of my manager's career raises questions about the depth of experience in that leadership role. I did not get necessary guidance or support from my manager in relation to my deal pursuits. My ability to effectively sell KYC products was hampered by a lack of access to the required subject matter expert support. I observed that the Singapore leadership of the subject matter expert team focused on his own activities such as overseas travel and video production, which seemed to take precedence over active sales support. My termination occurred suddenly, following assurances from my manager that my performance was satisfactory and that daily office attendance was crucial for job security. This abrupt reversal of expectations has created a significant sense of broken trust, leading to instability and uncertainty.

Pros

Love working at Moody's - Colleagues are highly respectful, approachable and very intelligent. Ethical company. Those who have been around for a long time and successfully progressed are genuinely smart/hard-working. Little to no politics and low tolerance for such people. Love the diverse working environment with colleagues from all over the world. Great work/life balance. Flexible working hours, able to work from home, and six Fridays off during June to September for global "Summer Holidays".

Cons

None really... As the Singapore office continues to grow you have to make an effort to integrate socially yourself. It's getting easier to not recognise colleagues who have joined for over a year.
