Pros

Great benefits, flexibility to work from home, work with some of the smartest personnel in the industry, exposure to a wide range of technologies.

Cons

Utter choas after the recent reorganization. Mixed directions from management to drive on-prem and cloud business. Recent merger of database and middleware team led to high attrition rates from both sales and presales due to unrealistic expectations fro higher management to deliver results in a short time span. Very high pressure environment and management does not listen to feedbacks.

Pros

- the flexible benefits are ok - good brand name (although that's getting debatable in the tech world) - pace is slow - good if you don't really want to contribute and want a relatively stable position, or if you want to retire

Cons

- too much politics. Directors here are constantly trying to one up another to look good to their bosses, without actually caring for quality of work put in. They care more about 'showing face' than actual work. - no one really bothers to learn about the products they are selling & business leaders don't really understand the business or the general tech landscape at all - no increment / progression - learning is very slow - they promote a 'self-service' culture which is just code word for 'couldn't be bothered to give you guidance' - a lot of managers are micromanagers - likes to monitor your movement, have zero trust for employees, are very nitpicky about small details. fails to see the bigger picture, and does not care for the right goals. Also very lazy - unwilling to lift their fingers for a simple task as changing a single word in a powerpoint deck, for example.

Pros

Constant change represent opportunity to move around within org. Opportunity to work and get to know enterprise customers. People working at the ground level are generally helpful if you are familiar with each of their KPIs.

Cons

Incompetent mid management. No respect for people. Even if the deal were assigned by your manage to work on, must make sure you have confirmation from finance, you will get paid before you start working on it( seriously??!!!!) No one is moving until multiple chases. No focus on success of the customer. (What happen to those customer who bought on premise. No support at all as everyone KPI is cloud only. Including those supporting function like presales etc) No consistent strategy to tackle the market. Manager being hired without proper background check and with no prior industry/solution experience/people management skills. Multiple cases where commission dispute happened and ppl left oracle because of the dispute.
