Pros

Benefits are great, leaves are good. No notes.

Cons

- racist environment. Everyone speaks Chinese and expects you to understand it. - discussions about my work are conducted in mandarin. There’s no sense of inclusion, respect or self awareness for minorities. It’s entitlement - business team are so entitled with no ethics. Processing and deceiving work submitted just to hit their target. - rude, entitled and manipulative. - they want cheap labour and high efficiency but there’s no investment in technology to facilitate it.

Pros

Working at UOB has been an incredibly rewarding experience, especially as a fresh graduate coming from the Chartered Banker programme. The bank truly lives up to its reputation as a people-first workplace. I’ve had the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that have accelerated my learning, and the regional exposure here is genuinely accessible—even for early career professionals. What stands out most is the culture: you’re not just an employee, you’re part of a team that wants to grow together. If you’re looking to build a long-term career in banking with an Asian focus, UOB is the place to be.

Cons

While the people-first culture is strong, internal systems and procedural guidelines can sometimes feel fragmented. Navigating between different legacy platforms and newer digital tools isn't always seamless, which can slow down daily workflows.
