TELUS Digital interview questions

First interview request came about 6 weeks after I applied. HR was really nice. 2nd interview felt like the 3 people interviewing me didn't know what to ask so it felt really awkward at times. Very basic questions asked which floored me.

After successfully completing the interview process, I received a contract and was informed about the training start date. However, shortly before the training, I was contacted by HR and informed that my name was already registered in a previous training session. I had previously declined that earlier opportunity and had officially informed the company by email at that time. After forwarding the email and providing all the necessary clarification, my application was placed on "standby" without any clear final update, even though the training was scheduled to start. Receiving a contract and a training date naturally creates expectations for candidates. Therefore, such issues should ideally be identified and resolved before reaching the final stages of the recruitment process. I believe candidates deserve clear, timely, and transparent communication throughout the entire hiring journey. I hope the process can be improved to provide a better candidate experience in the future.
