If you work hard, and manage to have successful referrals for loans and such, there is extra money or vouchers to be earned every month. My direct bosses are good people who do care about us.
Cons
Work hours is complete nonsense. Branch staff are totally overloaded. We are in charge of branch operations, ensuring that the ever growing list of compliance things are followed, branch sales, branch service standards. And on top of that, track sales, track compliments, handle customer complaints. Doing a lot of stupid and unnecessary things. The list goes on and on. You handle retail customers. You handle corporate customers. You are expected to know everything if not customers will question why are you representing the bank when you do not have the knowledge. Loans, cards, deposits, universal life insurance, cx, business loans, compliments, account opening. What else you want us to be in charge of? Expected a lot out of the position. But pay does not at all justify the workload. Senior management do not understand the difficulties at branch and that’s real sad.
