      They don’t understand employees

      Pros

      - Generally relax work environment - Friendly colleagues - Good office building and location

      Cons

      - Low morale - Terrible middle management - no accountability, no skills to motivate their own people, no clue how to manage projects systematically (some of them are a complete mess) - Questionable direction from exec team - complete denial that ssd is a viable threat, even though business is shrinking, constant brainwashing at all hands meetings - Too many people adding no value to company’s products - Very limited opportunity for career progression - Old timer management are too rigid, arrogant, ignorant - Politics is getting worse as the company shrinks and certain people are becoming protective

      Work environment is relatively good and still with decent people trying to make the best of the situation

      Cons

      Seagate cannot seem to be able to handle acquisition and mergers at all. Every M&A is a failure and then company is impacted Denial about solid state and upcoming rival technologies. Seagate is failing to address all these leading to a definitely shrinking revenue. A slow and steady slide down. With the changes to the IT leadership, it is now all about achieving targets. So the work environment is now about self survival and has become toxic and political. No hesitation to throw someone else under the bus for their own benefit

      Pros

      Good building, facilities, rosy on outside, freedom, MNC, American. A mix of very good and very sinecure people. Good benefits for some.

      Cons

      Hire & Fire, poor communication, last restructuring was done in North Korea style. Poor decision making. People without any leadership skills ruining company.
