Yesterday, we wrapped up our NCS Innovation Forum in Hong Kong, which set the stage for a day of profound insights and collaboration with our partners and clients. The event featured a lineup of speakers and highlights: Our Chief Scientist, Shaowei Ying, Tesseract Senior Director, James Chong, and Partner and Head of NCS HK, Albert Chan, walked us through the rising geopolitical complexities we're facing and how our current tech bets can offer valuable perspectives on unlocking enterprises' potential in their digital transformation to 'make tomorrow.' We are honoured to have the presence of Cheuk Shum, Managing Director and Head of Marketing, Wealth and Personal Banking at HSBC HK, as our guest speaker. He enlightened us on breaking free from traditional banking stereotypes and harnessing innovative technologies for marketing campaigns to elevate the customer experience. We had booths showcasing four of our thrusts: #GenAI, #Metaverse, #5G & #IoT, and #Sustainability, which could redefine digital interactions and transform how enterprises engage with customers and employees. The future at NCS is LIT! 🔥 We recently signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Republic Polytechnic to kickstart 2 new Work-Study Diploma programmes at the SkillsFuture SG Work-Study Fair 2023. The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour Siow Huang Gan, Minister of State for Education and Manpower, who announced the launch of 9 new SkillsFuture Work-Study programmes by the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs). Our collaboration with the 3 polytechnics aims to further our partnership to fuel the NCS Ignite Programme – a work and study programme designed for Institute of Technical Education students to attain diplomas. Under the MoU, students can get a headstart in Full Stack Development or Software Engineering with a Part-Time Diploma – building industry experience by turning classroom learning into real-world solutions. By marrying both technical expertise with real-world applications, we endeavour to contribute to the growth of Singapore’s tech talent.
