We are pleased to announce that NCS has entered into a strategic partnership with SICK Sensor Intelligence, aimed at delivering an innovative integrated solution for Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) users and Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) developers across the ASEAN region. That's a wrap for the inaugural SCS Digital Experience @ The Library event hosted by Singapore Computer Society and National Library Board! The guests enjoyed a day of exciting activities, from experts' seminar on the application of computer vision across industries to interacting with our newest four-legged robot, Archie, at the NCS Experiential Booth Showcase. At the CII Partnership Summit 2023, held in New Delhi, NCS CEO, Kuo Pin Ng shared at a panel session titled “Innovate or Perish: The Technology Leap”, to discuss the various challenges facing companies in terms of business model innovation and how they need to adapt quickly while embracing the various disruptions. Besides sharing his insights on the four key tech trends (Generative AI, Metaverse, Digital Trust, Sustainability) that will drive innovation in the #digital economy, Kuo Pin also outlined how it is essential to ‘ask the right questions’ when innovating to ensure that businesses are future-proofed against potential risks. By considering the ethical implications and security risks associated with #technology, businesses can make more informed decisions about their digital strategies and maximise returns on investments.
Last week, our Products & Platforms team proudly showcased our Robotic Nurse Assistant ‘Florence’ during the National Robotics Programme’s 6th anniversary, NRP6 Festival. The NRP is a platform to develop robotics solutions in Singapore that can create societal and economic impacts. The team demonstrated to Singapore’s top #robotics players and the community how Florence can optimise #Healthcare operations by relieving nurses from repetitive tasks such as measuring patients’ vital signs and updating patients’ files. We also had the chance to join hands with A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research at their booth to showcase an Outdoor Security Robot powered by robotmanager for monitoring and patrolling. From robot fleet management to hardware customisation, NCS has a full range of robotics capabilities that can automate business operations and transform the way you deliver your customer experience.
We have finally set forth our new NCS Ignite programme to Institute of Technical Education (ITE) students! Under the programme, NCS commits to train 200 ITE graduates annually to become professional digital specialists and attain their diploma while working with us. Ignite offers apprenticeship-based learning and provides rotational opportunities across NCS business units, where students get to embark on a wide range of exciting and impactful projects. Complementing our recently launched Fusion programme designed for Diploma graduates, Ignite offers sponsorship of school fees for ITE graduates with no bond obligations upon completion of their studies.
